Seven Seeds. This was a last minute pick after we saw a photo by a friend of our's and the food and coffee just looked delicious. And we just so happened to have a blank space for breakfast this particular morning so it worked out perfectly.
This busy little cafe is situated in the most unlikely location - along a fairly deserted street off the main road. There was literally no one walking along the street but that was probably because they had all gone into Seven Seeds because the place was buzzing with people when we peered through the door.
We were seated after a short wait and eagerly looked at all the delicious options on the menu. We decided on Poached eggs on paysan sourdough batard with an extra side of bacon for my friend and a Green eggs and ham on English muffins with Hollandaise for myself. Oh, and coffee of course.
The portions (especially the green eggs and ham) were quite generous and I struggled (in a good way) to finish my meal; but I did, because it was very delicious. I can safely say that this was probably one of my favourite meals whilst in Melbourne and probably one I wouldn't mind visiting again the next time I'm in the city.
