It was the morning of Boxing Day which meant that it was finally time to open up the presents! I've never had such fun and excitement so early in the morning and it all ended too quickly for my liking. We were all pretty satisfied with our gifts, especially our parents who now don't have to vacuum the house any more because my sister and I bought them a robot vacuum cleaner named Robby (it had its name on the box) :D
Boxing Day also meant shopping centres were on full blast with sales and although we knew it was going to be a battlefield, my sister, a few guy friends from church and I went to Chermside to see if we could get ourselves some bargains. And not to our surprise, there was people everywhere and with every step, we had to side step and dodge people. Although it was hectic, we all walked away with a bag (or several) of whatever we wanted or decided we needed after seeing the cheap price.
After three and a half hours of walking, we were ready to go home and I was desperate for a drink and a sit down. We all went back to our house and chatted around the kitchen bench watching a beautiful display of the sun setting. Good day indeed :)
