So many things have happened during the past month. But there has been so little time available to give updates on what has happened. Weekly illustrations have stopped, photos have been left aside and monthly favourites have been reduced to a typed list on my phone. These things have always been ways for me to wind down and distract myself with the work I need to do. But it felt a little different during the past month. Not blogging for the past month has been a load off my mind and has given me more time to focus on more important things.
During the time I have been MIA, I have attended a wedding and a church camp, celebrated birthdays and all the while, been inundated with a wave of assignments and study. There have been many photos, videos and illustrations that I have wanted to share from these events (maybe not from the last point..) and I wish I could say they will be shared soon, but I'm not sure if starting placement will really help my cause. (But watch this space anyway).
Meanwhile, I am juggling the tasks of getting resources and notes ready for placement next week (eek!), helping my friend make decorations for her 21st, using every spare moment to write a speech, deciding what to get for another friend turning 21 (why is choosing presents so hard?!), and trying to get as much of a head start on several assignments as I can before the swamp of placement work comes for me. (I also just handed in an assignment this morning, so I'm allowing myself a little breather with this post). All of these things have strangely made me develop an obsession with writing lists. The Notes app on my phone have now become my favourite and most used app (even more so after the iOS update) and the satisfaction of being able to tick everything off the list never gets old for me (am I strange?).
I'm not really sure where I am going with this post. So I will end it here. And besides, lunch is calling me.
