Jars of Colour

 It's time for monthly favourites again and I really had to rack my brain to remember what I liked this month because there weren't many things that really stood out for me. But I did go on a shopping trip the other week and new purchases always end up being 'favourites' for a short period of time. 

1. H&M Sweater. In need of new sweaters, I stumbled across this one at the new H&M store at Garden City. After purchasing it, I realised it was the sweater I didn't know I needed. 

2. Grey scarf from Kmart. A new (and very soft) scarf for my collection. What is Winter without the choice of different coloured scarves?

3. Burgundy infinity scarf. This one is actually hand-knitted by my friend- which makes it quite a special gift. Burgundy has been a favourite colour of mine recently, and that paired with another favourite (i.e infinity scarves) makes me very happy.  

4. Black pants (for lack of a better description). These have been in my wardrobe for a while now and I can't remember where I bought these from. But I've rediscovered them and have been wearing the threads out of them until the point where I reluctantly need to throw them into the wash. They're designed like leggings (= very comfortable), but they're thicker than the normal legging material which makes it more suitable for the cooler season. I also like the ribbed material at the knees which make them more than just a pair of plain black pants. 

5. Sketches and typography. I'm trying to replenish my creative juices by challenging myself to draw more. The one above is a fun little sketch of my week that was - featuring my patient with the beard, Larry and Ruth Smith, and waffles. I've also been inspired by a few new Instagram accounts I'm following such as: biancacash and lettersbychrissy (who is a friend who previously studied in my Speech Path course!) 

6. Leather Apple iPhone case. My previous case was too thin to protect the camera lens that protrudes a little on the back of the iPhone. I thought this wasn't very protective at all so I decided to purchase this nude/light cream one from eBay (I made sure it's the legit thing, don't worry). I was a little iffy before buying it because of reviews saying that it's really easy to scratch the leather and the sides fray easily etc. but I decided to take the risk promising myself to take good care of it to prevent any of those things from happening.

7. Mochas. Because, well..coffee. That's why. And also because I sometimes want the best of both the chocolate world and the coffee world. So...por que no los dos?
