Bungalow 4171 | Hawthorne

On Saturday morning over the weekend, my sister and I went to Bungalow 4171 to enjoy a brunch as a belated birthday celebration for her. It's a quaint little place surrounded by beautiful Queenslanders and we were also able to catch a nice glimpse of the Brisbane city and Storey Bridge on the drive there.

I have been loving two things recently: avocado and bagels; so I was quietly overjoyed when I saw their breakfast bagel on their menu and I knew I had to order it. And of course, my sister (a lover of mushrooms) could not decline the mushrooms they had to offer. We also ordered a mocha each - one hot, one cold and enjoyed a lovely morning catch up that we haven't had in quite a long time.

I also noticed they're tapas and dinner menu as well as the strings of fairy lights hanging over the outdoor seating area which I'm sure would make a lovely and memorable night out with friends. Definitely something I would love to try out (but will need to make sure to rug up well to brace the chilly nights that are quickly rolling in!).

Happy Monday x

  1. This place sounds lovely! And yes to bagels and mushrooms! The Bagel Boys' bagel bar in the city and at markets do great bagels- I've bought their 6 for $10 deal a couple of times and they make so many flavours so you'll never get bored! I heard the bakery Flour and Chocolate in Morningside produces amazing baked goods too, if you're in that area again anytime soon. xx
