"If you have good thoughts, they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely" - Roald Dahl.

The time has (finally) come for a new blog post!
It has been a tiring and busy time for all of us uni students as we are trying to cram a whole (or half) semester's worth of notes into a few days of study for our finals. It leaves our brain frazzled and desperately clutching onto the precious hours of sleep we can get. The effects of it all shows on Instagram where every third picture is a photo of a messy desk full of highlighted notes with the caption "stuDYING" or "life of a uni student.." with an emoticon of a crying face.

Meanwhile, exams are only half over and I am struggling to find motivation to keep going when there is an infinite amount of distractions. There is definitely a fine line between being lazy and relaxing. And there is always the time to relax a bit and find some fun :D So here are a few things from the past few weeks that brightened up this dreary time a little bit and to keep me going:

My high school friend and I have been waiting for Beyonce to come to Brisbane since grade 11 so we definitely could not miss out on tickets when she finally announced that she was coming. It was an incredible night and she is an amazing performer. The crowd loved her to bits and she definitely did not disappoint with delivering her best songs.

Besides constantly listening to Beyonce for the past week out of wanting to see her live again, there have been other music that I have been introduced to by other people or through links from YouTubers. And one of them is Robotaki - I have heard a few things from him, but Jenn Im always has his stuff as her background music and it sounded pretty funky so I couldn't help but to check it out. It's not something I would listen to everyday but reserved for those certain days where I feel like something different and with no lyrics.

Every now and then during study, I like to roam the kitchen in search of a snack (who doesn't?). It's not every week we have ice cream  in the fridge- but when we do, usually disappears quickly if my sister discovers it. I was also pleasantly pleased to discover rainbow sprinkles in our cupboard as well, so of course I had to. It made trying to memorise half a page of vowel symbols for linguistics so much better.

After our linguistics exam yesterday, my friends and I were completely frazzled and hungry. So, out of a craving, we went the Pizza Caffe to indulge in the best pizzas on campus and to reward ourself for reaching our half way mark for exams. It was also happy hour when we went so we got $10 pizzas :) Meatlovers on the left and the Pasolini potato pizza on the right.

New top from SheInside :) This top was featured in the last post as one of the things I had found online. I had been wanting a white collared shirt for a while but at the same time, didn't want it to be too plain- so this was perfect. Only costing around $20 and free shipping (that's the best part), it was a pretty satisfying purchase.

This made me giggle a little bit. But it is exactly the situation when trying too leech internet in public places. I found it on 2020 Avenue's Instagram. They have some pretty cool stuff, but international shipping is super duper expensive.

I love texting people and the emoticons that come along with it. I think this^ shows the range of conversations I get myself into. Lots of happiness, some cheekiness, some awkwardness, a little disappointment but with love being the centre of it all.
