Running Man has been a favourite Korean variety show (getting my weekly dose of it here) that has been a popular topic of our conversations this year and it's popularity isn't just rising amongst our friends but around many countries, since it's such a feel-good show with such entertaining characters and games/challenges that never ceases to bring out laughs :D So no wonder, my friend wanted to make his own version to celebrate his 21st birthday :)
It was a cloudy day on Saturday and with just having a storm that had passed the previous night, we were scared that it was going to put an end to the fun of the day. But it turned out to be the perfect weather for the activities we were doing that day :)
The day consisted of three games/'missions'. The first had two teams- one team was the chasing team, and the other had to find certain clues around the park whilst trying to avoid getting caught by the chasing team. We all wore name tags on our backs and were 'out' if it was torn off by the opposing team. I think we all underestimated the amount of cardio this involved and we were all glad to have a good sit-down for lunch afterwards..
The second game was a short one and involved less running (thank goodness). There were three teams and the game was this: one person in the team throws three hula hoops at the same time into the air and three other people from the team all had to try to pass through these hoops before they landed. Sounds simple but good throwing and accuracy was key..and we all failed..multiple times.
The third game was another hiding and catching game and proved to be an intense battle between the three teams and the spies (who people had to guess and eliminate) within the team. With each team having to find clues and complete the mission before other teams whilst also trying to figure out who you could and couldn't trust, it was really a mind game as well as being physically strenuous.
We all walked away with battle wounds and sore bodies but it was well worth all the fun :)
The chasing team wearing the infamous bells.
A few of us surprised the birthday boy with a choreographed dance to Apink's Nonono :D
The gold prize!
A memorable event cannot go pass without taking some polaroids.
