It's not all doom and gloom

With mid semester only just beginning, my mind is frenzied by the pressure of the coming weeks. Assessment could not have come sooner and my meagre plan of attack is simply to work hard and just to take things as they come without stress. Of course this sounds too simple compared to the mountain of work to conquer. I think it is pertinent in these instances to simply try to keep your head straight by finding joy in the little things. Or else you will just go mad and your smile will soon degrade into a permanent frown.  And as one of my favourite quotes says: Peace does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. It means to be in the midst of all those things and still be calm in your heart.

But of course, self-encouragement and airy-fairy words will not and cannot be the only things that will be able to accompany me through. It is during these times where there will be few things more precious than nap time and those various cups of tea or coffee.

For now, please excuse me while I retreat back into my cave and leave you with these plain and faceless photos from the past few weeks before all the looming madness began...
