Weekly Journal Illustration #2
This whole process, while fun and somewhat therapeutic, is still not coming quite naturally to me yet and it's taking me longer than I intend. But it's a gradual process and the satisfaction of seeing images and ideas in my head come to reality on paper is worth the time and effort. (But there is the occasional not-so-satisfying moments where I would rather burn the whole book than show anyone what I've created..) But enough about my problematic drawing abilities.

The past week was the first week of semester and we had to hit the ground running. I'm not sure if my mental capacity is ready for the rapid information upload, especially during the four hour dysphagia lectures that we have on Thursday afternoons (thank goodness it's our most fascinating subject). Lectures and studies were interluded with trips to Urban Climb, the Night Noodle Markets, Southbank and West End food adventures, a reunion over hotpot with my 'old' small group from last year and a game of volleyball after church on Sunday. It all came together to make a pretty lax and fun week..something I might not be able to say about the following weeks.

Knowing that a fair few of upcoming weekends will be filled with birthday parties, a wedding, church camp and training conferences, it will be a fine balance between work and play again this semester. But right now, the scales are probably tipped toward the wrong side...and I am trying not to be in denial of the lectures I have to study up on (exam in three weeks already!) Time to get a hustle on and hit the books again.
