Suburban Cafe | West End

Although we are only just about to emerge from the thick of things (i.e study and assignments), my friend and I decided we needed a well-deserved break and treat after our mid semester exam last Thursday. We were inspired by one of the Instagram-ers that we both follow, and after seeing her scrumptious looking brunch at Suburban Cafe at West End, we decided to make a visit ourselves and see whether the haloumi and avocado was as good as looked.

I thought that there are few things that could be a little more refined - like the beef tacos that we ordered. But I did thoroughly enjoy the coffee that they served and also the sweet potato chips. The plate that we were most looking forward to was their avocado smash with haloumi - which was good too, but didn't exceed expectations.

Speaking of avocado though, I was introduced to a new coffee/food spot hidden on campus and they have very delicious and perfectly seasoned avocado on toast (albeit the small portion and being slightly over-priced). It did also successfully set off an avocado obsession where I am basically eating avocado on toast for breakfast every morning. So delicious!

  1. Did you try out BELtop or the Rooftop Terrace Cafe or whatever it's called? I haven't tried their food yet but we've been going to them regularly for coffee group dates and it's such a nice spot!
