1. Brunch at Corner & Bench. We were originally planning to go to Hardware Societe for brunch but the line at their door was too long for us to even consider waiting. So we decided on this cafe- which we saw the day before and thought would be a good one. And we weren't wrong. With reasonably priced coffee/food and modern interior, this cafe ticked all the boxes for a satisfying meal.
2. National Gallery of Victoria. This was probably among my favourite places that we visited from the trip. The gallery, with it's multiple floors, exhibited everything from Australian to International, the 16th century to the 21st century, Picasso to David Shrigley (which was my favourite exhibit. So quirky).
3. Queen Victoria Night Markets. We met up with my friend's friend (who was in Melbourne for placement) in the afternoon and visited the night markets at Queen Vic. This market showcased over 50 stalls of food, clothing, crafts, miscellaneous goods and the like. We decided to pick a few stalls to try out, including FideuĂ , souvlaki, deep fried calamari, Pad Thai, churros and one of the most refreshing fruit smoothies I have had in a long time. We also ventured over to the non-food stalls and particularly enjoyed the stalls selling pre-loved clothing. I had been looking for a denim jacket and white cardigan and it just so happened that a particular stall had it and for a reasonable price as well (all thanks to my friend who spotted it first). I think it's safe to say everyone went home very satisfied that night.
P.S - Melbourne vlog will be up soon! I think video footage will definitely do our trip more justice.
