little dumplings and pretty lights

140913 // Saturday night dinner with my sister.
That little dumpling face of Harajuku Gyoza always makes me happy because 1) it's so adorable and 2) it means they sell dumplings and I LOVE DUMPLINGS :D I was finally able to try out this restaurant on a warm Saturday night with my sister. Being a typical Saturday, the place was packed with people looking for a good night out and so we had to wait for a while until we were able to get a table.
I think it was a tradition at Harajuku for the whole house to yell "Sakeee!!" when someone took a Sake shot. It definitely turned heads and added to the hype...and also to the noise level- it proved to be difficult to have a normal conversation in there since everyone was yelling over each other and the music.
The menu was not extensive but it didn't need to be. It was a dumpling restaurant and that was all they needed to sell. There were chicken gyoza, pork gyoza, duck gyoza, prawn gyoza and even some pretty funky tasting dessert gyoza (my sister and I tried the nutella banana gyoza with vanilla ice cream).
It was definitely a place worth a try and as a gyoza lover, it didn't disappoint :)

150913 // Sunday fun at the Brisbane Festival.
It was an eventful Sunday and to top off the day, we took a trip to Southbank (after dinner at Madtongsan) to enjoy some pretty lights and the laser light show by the river. The laser light show was not as spectacular as previous years but it didn't dampen our moods and spirits for the rest of the night. There were a few other installations scattered around the riverside and grasslands that were pretty mesmerising and picture worthy.

Terrible quality..but nonetheless, these guys are the best! ^_^

The beautiful Brisbane Eye. Costs quite a few bucks to ride it :( but one day...
