Finders Keepers

Yesterday, my friend and I went to the Finders Keepers markets at the Old Museum in Bowen Hills. This is a market that happens twice a year and it includes mainly art and design stalls as well as a handful of food/drink stalls. Going to markets is one of my favourite things to do - especially markets showcasing hand-made crafts and knick-knacks by local designers. And this one did not disappoint in presenting an impressive array of different types of designers and artists showing off their talent through their work.

There were a few stalls that I particularly liked including BeSpoke LetterpressNotelyDear Mabel and Love Mae; but there was one I was keeping an eye out for and it was 'In The Daylight' - a shop by an artist/designer whose work I recently fell in love with. I was very excited when I found her stall and could tell her how much I like what she does. I would've loved to have taken home the whole stall but I controlled myself and instead, inflicted the pain of having to decide on only a few items.

The excitement and patience wore dangerously thin as we became more and more pressed by the excessive number of bodies in the one space. We eventually managed to escape the human traffic jam and satisfied our thirsty and head-ached selves with an iced tea and quick exploration of the gardens (during which we discovered the brightest wall of Russelias).
I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful beginning to the weekend.
