In the early early morning of the 15th of July, my sister and I jetted to Seoul (with a stopover at Hong Kong airport) to start our long awaited adventure. We arrived in the late afternoon at Incheon airport and caught the train right away, eager to embark on our week long craze of shopping and sight seeing. The remaining time in the day only allowed us to check-in into our guesthouse in Myeongdong, explore the streets around the area and have dinner. I was also itching go shopping and to see how cheap everything really was.

It was sensory overload the moment we entered the Myeong Dong streets that were very close to where we lived. The lively chatter of everyone and bright neon lights instantly set the mood of excitement- along with the sight of all the cosmetic brands that we had waited so long to visit. Having heard and known that Korean were known for their cosmetics we were excited to try out and stock up on whatever we needed. But first, we had to have dinner. So we stepped off the streets and into a local Korean restaurant who served us a potato and beef stew. Our first taste of Korea...and it was delicious (but maybe a tad too spicy for me).
We originally had planned to visit Seoul tower on our first night, but we were tired from the flight and the shopping was a bit too enticing; so we decided to explore the streets and shop until most stores were starting to close (which was around 11pm). We had to refrain from buying everything as we knew we had more shopping opportunities ahead of us.
YAYYYYY! <3
