110114 // It almost seems like it's impossible to perfect making macaroons. In yet another attempt today, we could only guess what we did wrong. The perfect recipe and the perfect way to make them is still elusive to me; which makes me admire pastry chefs even more (how do they do it??!)
They always seem to be too lumpy, too runny or crack under the heat of the oven. Which is what happened to the purple ones... The yellow ones turned out a better and at least picture-worthy. And so then we filled them with white chocolate, coconut essence and milo filling :) Yum!
